The Brickyard 195

It was very exciting to bring The XBOX ONE iSCAR Series back to Indianapolis. It’s always a drama filled weekend when we put upgraded nascars on the long fast oval of Indy! Due to scheduling issues the race was moved ahead one week to September 2. Coming off the tough race at Watkins Glen and only having one week to test and tune for Indianapolis arguably one of the toughest tracks on the schedule even though it is a oval it has some of the trickiest left turns at 190+ mph! There was a lot of talking back and forth over practice throughout the week so we knew we were in for a great competitive race. When the green flag flew, 16 Drivers thundered down the front stretch into turn one and everyone made it clean! Surprisingly, they started the race completely clean for around 27-38 laps before we saw our first caution. The yellow flag flew after the #1 Jason Barton new comer on Thunder Valley Motorsports found the wall through turn 4. However, he escaped without the yellow flag to make it to pit road when the #12 of Hinshaw was making it around for his first stop under the green flag a little too hot and found contact with the 1 car and the inner pit wall on entrance. After the first yellow the field struggled to find a rhythm and have pace. They had a lot of short runs in between before finally running the final 12 laps under green flag. The hard charger finding trouble and pitting early under green flag and fighting back from 15th place to find the lead on that last run was Warrior Motorsports #8 of Logan Clark to finally grab his first victory of the season! Clark has had terrible luck all year with connection issues and just simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but he was able to overcome that adversity this weekend and show the field he can compete and win anytime. The 12 of Hinshaw also fought back to front after the early pitting incident to take home P2 and extend his points lead to 67 points. Jaime Lozano in the 11 car is always a favorite and expected on the podium and that is exactly what he did here at Indy bringing it home in P3. The #46 of Matt Adams also had a brilliant run taking home another top 5 finish in P4. We had some newcomers show a lot of potential but the #66 of Zachery Matthews bringing the Toyota home in 6th place was the most impressive! There’s a lot in store for the series with just 7 races left before the end of the first season. Will we see a new winner at Monza or will it be one of the front runners again? Clark now has the hot hand coming off of his first win and looking to dominate at Monza as he has been putting down heaters in practice the last few weeks. He is ready, but i know there are guys who are hungry to find victory lane! Should be a good one this weekend for Mayhem @ Monza!
