The Weekend Recap - Catalunya iSCARS

It was The Catalunya Wine Mixer 69 at The Circuit de Catalunya, to cap off our Round 17 of 21 in The XBOX ONE iSCAR Series! What a great first season this has been! We knew coming into this race that the #8 Logan Clark had the hot hand coming off two wins in a row from Indianapolis and Monza! However Clark would not qualify, but his teammate in the #11 car Jaime Lozano would put down a 1:46:379 to grab his fifth pole of the season! Unfortunately, Lozano would not be able to make the start of the race. With Clark not qualifying he started farther back based off his points standings. The green flag dropped and #7 Herbie Gordon III jumped out to an early lead before we came to our first caution between turn 1,2, and 3 as they tried the s turns two and three wide on the first lap. The mishap on the first turn opened up some strategy calls for the field as a couple drivers including Clark would make that first and hopefully only pitstop before going back green flag racing and trying to make it the rest of the way on fuel and gaining track position! We went back green and had some hard racing as everyone was rushing to get to that top spot and try to get in the clear. The field spread out more and more as other guys who had not made a trip into the pits to refuel yet, started making their stops. We would regroup with around 5 laps to go with a yellow flag, as they stacked back up for the restart. We had another yellow and after pitstops we had our very first Green, White, Checkered restart finish of the season! As they battled back and forth for position with only 2 laps left everyone hungry fighting as hard as they can to press and get the best finish as possible contact was made entering turn one as they tried 3 wide between Guavo, Gordon III, and Hinshaw II they squeaked through unfortunately with Gordon III receiving the short end of the stick although Hinshaw II did not benefit at all by losing a couple more spots to lock it in for P6. Guavo was able to hold off and claim yet another podium for P2. As they battled behind him in his mirror Clark was comfortable to pull away on the last lap and bring home three wins in row for Warrior Motorsports as they try to hold off Hinshaw Racing Performance from that Constructors Championship still in the lead by only 32 points with 2 ovals remaining out of the 4 races that we have left! Clark also trying to close out a strong finish to this first season as he is slowly closing in our points leader Hinshaw II with what is now a 60 point lead!
