It was Spa-Francorchamps next on the schedule for The XBOX ONE iSCAR Series for The Fat Tire 65 for 30 laps. We started off the weekend with qualifying, and it sure was competitive between the Warrior Motorsports drivers Logan Clark and Jaime Lozano battling it out for the pole position. It came down to the #8 of Logan Clark setting the track record here at Spa. Clark earned his 6th IVRL Pole Award of the season, taking another set of +5 bonus points to add to the total with a blistering lap of 2.16.238. They made it through turn 1 for the start and into Raidillon Eau Rogue before we had our first and only caution flag fly as the 44 Guavo, 46 Adams, and newcomer Burriss Jr in the 6 car came together trying to make the turn on lap one. We knew it would happen at some point just wasn’t sure when. After the yellow and several pit stops we went back to green flag racing for the remainder of the race. The hard charger starting in dead last and fighting all the way back up to the podium for a third place finish was the #17 Zac Wilson. Wilson is always one the fastest cars and strongest drivers when he makes it out. He made it exciting with his great drive this weekend from the back. The favorites for the race #8 Clark and #11 Lozano of Warrior Motorsports are always the guys to watch, but this week they fell just short to the new guy over at Hinshaw Racing Performance the #81 Johnny Edge who was just barely caught up in that first lap accident. The accident worked in his favor allowing him to go ahead and pit and try and make it on fuel, and that is exactly what he did! Edge crossed the line on fumes, just forcing his car to his first victory this year in just his third start. Clark was able to lock in 4th place just outside of the podium as he finished with insufficient power from the engine, and Lozano claiming another podium in 2nd place! As competition continues to get better and better every week, will we see Mr. Edge in winners circle again anytime soon? It is possible, he has been practicing hard and bringing a lot of tuning help to HRP as they try to catch Warrior Motorsports in the Constructors Championship to finish off the season with a bang. After taking his first win like the hamburgler, Edge moves up 4 spots in the points to climb to 16th! HRP was able to make up 9 points on Warrior Motorsports but they are still -128 behind. The 46 car of Adams was able to hang on to the 2 spot in points but #8 Clark is just -10 points behind and hungry on the charge to try to catch #12 Hinshaw with a 63 point lead over his teammate Adams with only 8 races left in this first season of The XBOX ONE iSCAR Series.
