“It’s okay mane, it’s Miami! (in my best scarface voice)” With just a week to prepare for Miami after the Bathurst Race was moved back a week. Drivers were rushed to get ready for the 100 mile race! The #12 of Randy Hinshaw was able to grab his 2nd IVRL Pole Award of the season. 14 cars started The Salute Our Soldiers and Veterans 100 at Miami last Sunday! The green flag flew and Clark and Hinshaw battled hard back and forth before Clarks day came to an abrupt end, due to electronic failure around lap 3. Hinshaw jumped out to a demanding lead, but unfortunately tragedy struck around lap 26. Everyone took the opportunity to pit under this first caution leaving everyone with only one pitstop to make it to the end. Again, Hinshaw jumped out front for a few laps after the restart. It was strong battle for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th all day between the #6 of Slaughter, #46 Matt Adams, and #44 Guavo However, it wasn't long before mistakes ended his chances of taking the win. Just around 10 laps after making pit stops Hinshaws car got loose on exit in turn 2, he over corrected a little sucking the right side of the car into the wall with not a whole lot of damage. He could make it to the end so he pitted again under green flag. The #6 of Cody Slaughter drove around Hinshaw stuck in the backstretch wall trying to avoid the other cars coming by on the inside. It was the “Slaughter Show” for the remainder of the race as the cars shuffled around until the finish behind him. This was win number 1 for Cody Slaughter and his team Anarchy Motorsports! Anarchy has been a top runner all season just have had bad luck at the end of races that has given them runner up after runner up finishes all season. Congratulations to Cody Slaughter and Anarchy Motorsports, and also Chevrolet for their 2nd win a row. Off to Road Atlanta for The East Atlanta Zone 6 101 for 40 laps around the full circuit in Braselton, Georgia only from Forza Motorsport 7 on XBOX 1 and The IVRL.
